Man, it is totally ridiculous! I mean, you interrupt a woman accepting an award, and you’re a douchetruck forever; you beat one up, and you’re a hero. That’s obviously ridiculous, and definitely isn’t what you’d expect would happen there. So there’s probably something else at play—like how if Kanye weren’t black, he’d probably still have been called a douche that day, but it likely would’ve been forgotten a week later. And like how if Rihanna were white, Chris Brown would probably still be unwelcome, if not in jail.

So you’re right. It’s totally ridiculous that in America, in the twenty-first century, this is still a race issue. Good call!
